In this article, you'll find how to import and export your translations.

Exporting Translations

0) Be sure that you are managing an Advanced or higher Plan

Feel free to visit our Pricing Documentation and scroll down a little bit, you'll find a tab with all our different plans and features

1) Go to your Translation List in your Weglot dashboard

2) In the language pairs, click on the "Export" button

Here you are able to choose the format you wish to export your file, the language pairs, the qualities, and the types of translations that you want to export:

3) Make your selection and click on "Export translations"

You will then receive the following message: Your export with xx translations is being processed and will be sent to myemail@site.com

Importing Translations

Important: When you import a file, make sure you did not modify any content except the "word_to" column.
If you encounter an issue when importing, make sure that the structure of your file is the same as the example available on the importing page (Section 3 below).

1) Go to your Translation List in your Weglot dashboard

2) In the language pairs, click on the "Import" button

3) Drag and drop your CSV or XLIFF file and click on "Next"

Here you can see the translations that will be imported. There are also 2 examples of files (CSV and XLIFF) available, do not hesitate to have a look.

4) Scroll down and click on "Import translations"

You will have 2 options available before importing.

Create translations for new sentences:
If activated, Weglot will create translations for new sentences.

Mark unchanged translations as reviewed:
If activated, Weglot will set all the unchanged translations as manually reviewed. (Do not activate it if you still need to review translations among the ones you are importing).

Then, you will see the following message: "Your imported file is being processed. You'll receive an email once it's complete"
