How to see statistics about translation requests?

In this article, you’ll learn how to view and understand statistics related to your translation requests in Weglot.

1. The statistics

If you are using a Pro plan or higher (see our Pricing Documentation), you have access to translation request statistics from your Weglot Dashboard > Your project > Statistics > Translation Requests.

These statistics help you understand how your translated content is accessed by visitors and how often Weglot is requested to serve translations.

Translation requests correspond to calls made to the Weglot API to retrieve translated content.

a. Translation Requests

This section shows the total number of translation requests generated for each language.

You can select a specific time period to analyze how translation requests evolve over time.

A translation request is generated in the following situations:

  • When a visitor (including yourself) visits a translated page
  • When a visitor browses multiple pages in a translated language
    • For example, visiting 5 translated pages generates 5 translation requests
  • When bots or crawlers trigger requests on your website

Each page view in a translated language results in a call to the Weglot API.

This view is useful for identifying which languages generate the most translation activity.

b. Translation requests by URL:

This section displays translation requests grouped by URL.

You can see:

• The five most visited URLs on your website

• The number of translation requests generated per language for each URL

This helps you identify which pages generate the most translation activity and understand how visitors interact with your translated content.

2. Do I need additional tools for more detailed statistics?

Weglot statistics focus specifically on translation requests.

If you need more advanced analytics, such as user behavior, traffic sources, or conversion tracking, we recommend using an external analytics tool such as Google Analytics (see: Can I use Google Analytics on my translated version(s)?).
