How to use the organizations

In this article, you will learn more about the structure of organizations within Weglot. Additionally, it will offer insights into the composition of your Weglot Dashboard, encompassing workspaces and projects.

What is a workspace?

You can now create a workspace! A workspace has its plan, its members, and its projects.

There are two categories of workspaces :

  •  Your personal workspace
  •  An organization's workspace

Everyone has a personal workspace; if you're already using Weglot, you are working in your own "Personal Workspace."

You can create as many workspaces as you want by clicking the "Create" button.

Now, you can use the switcher on the top left of your screen to switch between workspaces and projects. You can select a plan for your workspace, start creating your projects, and invite members to collaborate.

What is a project?

A project in Weglot refers to the translation of a specific website that you want to make multilingual. 

Within this project, you can access translations, configure your site's settings, and view detailed statistics (available with the pro plan). 

Furthermore, this space allows you to manage the integration of your site as a subdomain or subdirectory (for non-WordPress projects).

What is an Organization?

An organization is a group of projects with the option to include external members. It enables better member management by assigning roles and responsibilities.

Users can join multiple organizations, participate in different projects, and even create their own organizations to lead and coordinate projects. This promotes collaboration and effective project management within a larger framework.

How to Create an Organization

To establish an organization, it is necessary to navigate to your profile and locate your WorkSpaces, conveniently displayed at the bottom of the page.

What is an Organization team member?

A team member within an organization has access to the organization's projects.

They may occupy the roles of manager, viewer, or translator.

1) How to add/delete member(s): 

  • Go to your Users in your Weglot Dashboard

  • Click on "Add member."
  • Choose the role permission and enter the email address.

  • Members can also have access to the billing part.

  • Click on "Send invite."

That's it! The new member will receive an email to log in to Weglot (if they don't have a Weglot account yet, they will need to create one). 

How do we change ownership?

It's indeed possible to transfer the ownership of a project to one of your team members. Here is how you can change the ownership of an Organization
