How to use Weglot language model

In this article you'll learn how to use Weglot AI language model. This language model can help improving translation quality targeting the website specific needs.



1.‎ What kind of plan is needed to use the Weglot language model

In order to use the Weglot Language Model, a paid plan is needed.

Credits:

Depending on the plan used, a fixed amount of credits per month is given and is renewed every 1st day of the month.

1 credit is used translate to 1 word.

For example, the sentence "Welcome to my company website" will use 5 credits.

2.‎ How to set my language model

The first time you visit your project, you will see a pop-up appear:

After clicking on "Set up my language model," you will be redirected to this page:

The filled information comes from the current website linked to Weglot. The description and the different settings are automatically generated. You can complete them to make future translations as accurate as possible.

You can also choose to use the Glossary Rules and Manual Translations you already created on the project, so the translations will adapt.

3.‎ How to use my language model

Once the language model is created, the AI translations can be used.

Go to your Dashboard > Translation List

Here you will see all your translations, and under each one a new icon:

You can then replace or cancel the translation.

Please note that once the translation is generated using AI, even if it is canceled or stays the same, the credits will still be used.

Once the translation is replaced, the translation will become Manual and will have the label Gen AI.

Explicit messages will be displayed if the language model can't be used:

No AI words left
User with Viewer permission
AI Translation limit reached

4.‎ Who can use the language model

Language model features access is restricted depending on the user's role.
