Why can't I access the Visual Editor?
In this article, you'll learn how to find a solution if you have trouble accessing the Visual Editor.
1. Ensure Website Accessibility:
You can find the Visual Editor in your Weglot Dashboard > Projects > Visual Editor. To use the Visual Editor, your website must be live and accessible. If your site is password-protected or in maintenance mode, the Visual Editor won't be able to access it.
2. Preparation for Visual Editor Usage:
To fully benefit from the Visual Editor and edit your translations, follow these steps:
- Remove any password protection or maintenance mode temporarily.
- Refresh the Visual Editor page after making these changes.
3. Verify Website URL in Project Settings:
Double-check that you've correctly entered your website's full URL in your Weglot Dashboard > Projects > Settings > General. If the issue persists, confirm that Weglot is installed on your website.
Note:
If you encounter difficulties with the Visual Editor, you can still edit your translations using the Translation List in your Weglot Dashboard > Projects > Languages. Refer to part 1 of "How to Edit My Translations" for guidance.
