Adobe Experience Manager - Integration / Setup
Translate your Adobe Experience Manager website
Translate all your content and make your Adobe Experience Manager website multilingual within minutes.
1) Create a Weglot account
This is where you’ll manage your website translations, manage your translation settings, and other customizations depending on your needs. Create account.
You’ll then receive a validation email that will take you to the Weglot Dashboard.
Add a project name (e.g. your website name) and select your ‘Website technology’ – in your case, it’s ‘Other’.
2) Add your new languages and select your URL structure
The next step is to add the URL of your website, the original language of your website, the languages you’d like to translate it into and your URL structure.
You can choose the type or URL you wish to use for the integration. Both options are good for your SEO. The only differences are the URL structure. For example, for the French version of your website, the URLs would look like:
- Subdomains: fr.yourwebsite.com
- Subdirectories (beta): yourwebsite.com/fr
If you don't have a domain name yet, click the "Use Javascript integration" link instead. You'll only have to provide the original and desired languages to translate your website into. Proceed to step 4 of this guide.
3) Create your subdomains (important for multilingual SEO)
4) Add your language switcher
Here you’ll need to copy and paste a piece of code from your Weglot account setup into Adobe Experience Manager.
In Adobe Experience Manager, open up your ‘Template HTML page’ and paste the code inside the ‘Head’ section.
