Can I use Google Analytics on my translated version(s)?

In this article, you'll see what the conditions to use Google Analytics on your translated version(s) are and how to do it to have access to further statistics and data

1. What are the requirements?

The only condition here is to manage a Weglot integration that provides SEO with unique URLs for your translated pages such as a subdomain or a subdirectory integration
To check which integration you currently have, feel free to check out this article and make sure you have one of the integrations mentioned above.

2. How can I set it up?

a. If you are managing subdirectories such as mywebsite.com/en/ for example, you should be able to simply find those URLs in your Google analytics by default as they will be automatically detected:

b.If you are managing subdomains such as en.mywebsite.com, for example, it won't be possible to add your Google Analytics script tag in the source of the subdomain. However, if you have the Google Analytics script tag to your original source, you should be able to see traffic/stats on subdomain URLs, following the process mentioned below:

- On the URL section, click on "Secondary dimensions" and enter "Hostname"

- Click on Hostname and you'll be able to see full URLs with subdomains:

Then you'll be able to manage the statistics and data as you prefer!
